The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) inducted three Clark School faculty as fellows (10 percent of this year's class of fellows) over the weekend. Department of Aerospace Engineering Chair Mark Lewis (current AIAA president) served as the event emcee.

This year's AIAA fellows from the Clark School are:

Balakumar Balachandran, professor and associate chair, mechanical engineering

Darryll Pines, professor of aerospace engineering and Clark School dean

David Van Wie, adjunct professor of aerospace engineering
