Radermacher inducted into Innovation Hall of FameDr. Reinhard Radermacher, professor, Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Center for Environmental Energy Engineering, was inducted into the A. James Clark School Innovation Hall of Fame for his work in environmental and energy systems applications.
The Innovation Hall of Fame program began in 1986 when alumnus Stan Berman conceived the idea to recognize individuals that made significant technical contributions to society through engineering innovation.
Dr. Radermacher is an expert on alternative refrigerants that do not deplete the ozone layer and minimize global warming. Over the last twenty years, his research focused on absorption and vapor compression heat pumps for a wide-range of applications including residential refrigeration, air-conditioning, transportation and industrial systems.
