Ramesh receives the 2000-2001 Outstanding Research AwardProfessor Ramamoorthy Ramesh of the Department of Materials and Nuclear Engineering was selected as the Clark School Faculty Outstanding Research Award recipient for the academic year 2000-2001.
This award recognizes Dr. Ramesh’s contributions to the science and technology of materials, especially his landmark contributions to Ferroelectrics. Dr. Ramesh is recognized for the creativity and originality that he brings to his research.
The Clark School Faculty Outstanding Research award was instituted to recognize exceptional and influential research accomplishments in the field of engineering. A six-person committee of highly respected individuals in the field of engineering was selected to complete this task. The Outstanding Research Award recipient is awarded a personal cash gift of $2000, and a research award of $5000 per year for three years to further their research within the School of Engineering.
Dr. Ramesh, as the first recipient of this award, was awarded the honor before his colleagues at an all-engineering faculty event on September 4, 2001.
