The Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering has raised more than $60,000 from alumni and friends for its new James N. Newton Scholarship Fund, which will benefit underrepresented minorities and other engineering students. The scholarship was established this past fall to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the center and honors its former director.
