Linda Gooden, president and CEO of Lockheed Martin Information Technology and a Clark School Board of Visitors member, will deliver the commencement address at the Clark School's graduation ceremony on May 22.

The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. in the Cole Student Activities Building. More than 450 bachelor's degrees and 200 master's degrees will be awarded this spring. One hundred twenty-nine doctoral degrees will be conferred.

Also at the ceremony, the winners of the Faculty Service Award and the Poole and Kent Company Teaching Award for Senior Faculty will be announced.

The university commencement ceremony will take place the night before at 7 p.m. at the Comcast Center. Tickets are required for this ceremony. U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes (D–Md.) will address the graduates at the campus-wide ceremony.

A ticket is not required for the engineering graduation ceremony, which will be followed by a reception for graduates and their families at the Kim Engineering Building.

Gooden was named 2006 Black Engineer of the Year at a ceremony in Baltimore earlier this year.
