Dr. Ahmet Aydilek Receives Outstanding Engineering Educator Award

Dr. Ahmet Aydilek, assistant professor in civil and environmental engineering, received the 2004 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Outstanding Engineering Educator Award. This honor is awarded to an educator of recognized standing whose sustained and unusual educational contributions have been made in the advancement of the civil engineering profession and/or service to mankind.

Earlier this year, Aydilek was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) in the geosynthetics projects category for his work on a U.S. EPA Superfund site. He served as both a researcher and an engineer for the project, and was awarded the Engineering Achievement Award from ASCE last year for his work on the project.
