Shihab Shamma named to NIH study section


The National Institutes of Health have appointed Professor Shihab Shamma (ECE/ISR) to serve as a member of the Auditory System Study Section of the Center for Scientific Review. His four-year term runs through June 2012.

Shamma was selected for his achievements in the discipline of auditory systems, his mature judgment and objectivity, as well as for his scientific activities, achievements and honors.

As a member of the study section, Shamma will contribute to the national biomedical research effort by reviewing NIH grant applications, recommending applications to NIH advisory councils and board and survey the status of auditory research.
