Bezos Gift to Benefit Keystone ProgramA $50,000 donation by Angel P. Bezos, B.S. ’69 electrical engineering, will help to support Keystone: The Clark School Academy of Distinguished Professors.
The unrestricted gift of stock, made in March to the Clark School by the past Innovation Hall of Fame inductee, was allocated to the Keystone program by Clark School Dean Nariman Farvardin.
The Keystone program fosters exemplary undergraduate teaching skills and commitment to excellence in teaching fundamental engineering courses.
Keystone professors receive renewable three-year appointments with a base salary increase and discretionary funds to support their activities, and are assisted by additional support personnel in covered courses.
The Clark School hopes to raise $350,000 a year to support the program. Earlier this year, Lockheed Martin pledged $60,000 annually to Keystone.
