Dr. Irina Krayterman, wife of former engineering professor Boris Krayterman, has established the Professor Boris L. Kraytmerman Memorial Scholarship Endowment in his honor with a gift of nearly $26,000.

The scholarship will be used to support full-time juniors, seniors or Master's degree candidates in mechanical engineering.

Krayterman taught courses in aerospace and mechanical engineering. He passed away in 1990.

"Boris spared no effort in his attempt to give our students and our department his very best," said William Walston, former associate chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. "Boris was an excellent teacher, a friend of his students and a beloved member of our faculty."

The Krayterman's son, Anatoly, is a Clark School alumnus (B.S. '85, electrical engineering).
