Alumna Named to Black Enterprise's "Hot List"

Alumna DeAnna D. Allen (B.S. '90, electrical engineering) has been recognized by Black Enterprise magazine on its "Hot List," published in the December 2007 issue.

The "Hot List" is a biennial list of professional and entrepreneurial "powerhouses" that recognizes persons under the age of 40 for their work in a variety of areas, including law, technology, banking, business, professional athletics, literature/print media, and entertainment. Allen was featured among many nationally known celebrities on the list, including Tiger Woods, Venus Williams, Kanye West, Will Smith, Sean Combs, LeBron James and Alicia Keys.

DeAnna Allen is partner in the Washington, D.C., office of law firm Dickstein Shapiro LLP. She specializes in patent law and represents a variety of companies seeking to protect and capitalize on their intellectual property assets.
