In its most recent analysis of U.S. university aerospace engineering programs, derived from data collected between 2001 and 2005, Thomson Scientific's Sci-Bytes ranks the Clark School #1, based on tracking aerospace journal articles.

In 108 papers between 2001 and 2005, the Clark School's aerospace engineering department accrued, on average, 2.19 citations per paper -- more than any of the 100 other schools evaluated in the listing.

The ranking is based on the tracking of articles/papers appearing in 32 journals/periodicals with sub-fields in Aerospace Engineering indexed by Thomson Scientific.
