The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) 100th anniversary celebration in April 2008 recently got a boost from A. James Clark, B.S. '50, civil engineering, and Clark School benefactor. Clark has presented the department with a gift of $25,000. He will attend the Centennial Gala on April 5.

"Jim Clark's generous contribution will allow us to put together a centennial program that is worthy of our century of outstanding educational efforts, which have produced highly productive and accomplished individuals who are pillars of our community and wonderful supporters of our university," said CEE Chair Ali Haghani,

Clark is the chairman and CEO of Clark Enterprises, Inc., which includes The Clark Construction Group. The company is responsible for building structures such as the MCI Center, FedEx Field and Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
