Alumni in Academia to Coach Students on Becoming Faculty

Two Clark School alumni who have gone on to join the faculty at other universities will return to campus to coach current students on how to join academia after graduation.

John C. March, Ph. D. '05 chemical engineering, now on the faculty at Cornell University, and Hesham El-Gamal, Ph.D. '99 electrical and computer engineering, and an associate professor at Ohio State University, will take part in "Careers in Academia" on Friday, Oct. 28.

The event, sponsored by the Engineering Graduate Student Council, will provide current students with both the opportunity to talk with Clark School faculty members, and these alumni who have gone on to faculty positions elsewhere, about obtaining faculty jobs after graduation.

The seminar will take place in 2117 A.V. Williams (CSI section) from 8:30-11:45 a.m.
