Baltimore Names Alumnus Public Works Director

Baltimore Names Alumnus Public Works Director

David E. Scott, B.S. '85, CivE, and M.Eng. '00, has been named director of public works for the city of Baltimore. Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon made the appointment on Feb. 6 and it is pending a vote by the City Council.

Scott will leave his job as commissioner for public works for Atlanta, Ga, where he managed more than 900 employees, according to the Baltimore Sun. He is a native of Baltimore County.

As Baltimore's public works director, Scott will oversee public waste disposal, transportation and fleet services, the Sun reported.
