NanoCenter Named University Research Center

The university's Office of the Vice President of Research has designated the Maryland NanoCenter as one of the first University Research Centers (URC) on campus.

The URC program was created in 2006 to encourage the growth of major research centers on campus, providing support for the development of large center proposals and supplemental ongoing support for centers established as identified as URCs.

The Maryland NanoCenter is a partnership among three campus colleges: the Clark School, the College of Computer, Math and Physical Sciences, and the College of Chemical and Life Sciences.
