Engineering Senate
[From Art. 1 in the Clark School's Plan of Organization (Sep. 16, 2022):]
The Engineering Senate is an integral part of the Clark School's system of governance. Its powers are limited so as to not contravene those delegated by the President to the Dean of the School.
The Engineering Senate considers any matter of concern to the School including, but not limited to, educational, budgetary, and personnel matters; School-community matters; long range plans; facilities; and faculty, staff and student affairs.
The Senate advises the Dean, President, Chancellor, or Board of Regents as it deems appropriate.

The Diversity-and-Inclusion Committee carries out its responsibilities as detailed in Art. 1 Section E of the (July 18, 2012) University of Maryland Code on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, in particular, to foster better human interaction among all individuals and groups on the Campus, to advise in the development of positive and creative human relations programs, to advise in the prevention and eradication of all forms of discrimination prohibited by that Code, and to make regular assessments of the state of human relations within the purview of this Campus.

Nominations and Awards Committee
[From Art. 6.2.2 in the Bylaws of the Engineering Senate (May 10, 2021):]
The Nominations and Awards Committee identifies and recruits individuals for service on Engineering Senate committees; assembles slates of candidates for approval by the Engineering Senate to populate FAC and other standing committees of the Engineering Senate; evaluates nominations for the annual awards given by the School for teaching, research and service; and works with the office of the Dean to create, eliminate, or modify awards.
